A former Gainesville resident has been included on a list of Georgia’s Most Notable Women which was compiled by Georgias Trend magazine.
Cathy Cox is the president of Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville and the former president of Young Harris College. While living in Gainesville, she worked as a reporter for The Times.
Cox, a native of Bainbridge, is also a former Georgia Secretary of State.
