Cybersecurity for the school system will be up for discussion at Monday night’s Gainesville Board of Education (GBOE) meeting.
The board, according to the meeting agenda, is scheduled to go into executive session toward the end of the meeting “to discuss or deliberate upon cybersecurity plans, procedures, and contracts regarding the provision of cybersecurity services.” Another option is whether “to vote to enter into a cybersecurity contract subject to approval in a subsequent public vote…”
Also, the board is scheduled vote on the budget and tax rate for the new fiscal year, hold first reading on a Student Tobacco Use Policy and hear a report on enrollment projections for the coming school year.
