The GBI is investigating an overnight incident Sunday in Habersham County which resulted in the closing of an intersection for several hours.
County spokesman Rob Moore said Monday morning “I am not able to provide any additional details about the type incident, the agencies involved, or others involved.” Moore did say it happened at on Georgia 115 at Habersham Mills Road and that the GBI is handling the investigation. As of 7:00 a.m., that agency had not released any information.
Sheriff Joey Terrell said in a late-night Facebook posting Sunday “115 @ Habersham Mills is shut down for an extended period due to law enforcement activity. Plan alternate routes until notified otherwise.”
