Forsyth County commissioner have approved construction of a $114 million government complex to replace the downtown administration building which was built in 1996. And Carroll Daniel Construction Company will do the work.

The new facility will be built on Freedom Parkway just south of Georgia 400, consolidating all 17 county departments under one roof. They are now spread over Cumming, some housed in leased space.

The sheriff’s department will take over the current administration building when the new complex opens in 2026.
