Gainesville Financial Services introduces new online access portal

A new Gainesville Financial Services Online Access Portal is now available, connecting the public to key government services at any time of day.

“Gainesville Financial Services strives to deliver powerful e-government services and provide valuable information about our community while making your interactions with us more efficient, convenient and interactive,” said Business Services Manager Tracie Morris.

The online access portal is designed to better meet customers’ needs by allowing them to manage business tax and licensing queries based on their availability, and from their home or workplace. Portal offerings, available here, include the following:

*The Business Occupation Tax Portal enables users to perform any of the following functions, among others:

  • Submit a Business Occupation Tax Application
  • Renew a Business Occupation Tax Account
  • Pay an outstanding balance
  • Close a Business Occupation Tax Account

*The Alcohol Tax/License Portal enables users to perform any of the following functions, among others:

  • Print an alcohol license application
  • File and pay alcohol excise tax
  • Request an alcohol license renewal
  • Pay an outstanding balance

*The Special Event Permit Portal enables users to perform any of the following functions, among others:

  • Print an application form
  • Pay an outstanding balance

*The Hotel/Motel Excise Tax Portal enables users to perform any of the following functions, among others:

  • File hotel/motel excise tax
  • Pay hotel/motel excise tax
  • Pay an outstanding balance

For those who prefer to conduct business in person, Business Tax and Licensing Division staff remain available during regular business hours.
