Gainesville fall tradition ending

Kinsey Family Farm in Gainesville is ending its popular pumpkin sales this fall, according to patch.com. The move, the report says, is part of a five-year transition in how the longtime operation does business.

The owners say this year has seen major family and generational changes. As a result, they say they’ll focus more on Christmas offerings and more.

“So, thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your support,” a Facebook posting says. “We know the elimination of the ‘pumpkin season’ is not what anyone wants. But we fully intend to forge a new path and continue sharing good times and memories with you and your families . . . we are just going to do it a little differently . . .”
