A Habersham County Sheriff’s Office deputy rolled up on a multi-vehicle, multi-injury wreck on Ga. 365 at (Duncan Bridge Road in Baldwin Monday afternoon about 5:30.
All four lanes of Ga. 365 were shut down in both directions, as was the intersection. It was not until about 7:45 that all lanes were reopened and the intersection cleared.
Six people were taken to hospitals, five with minor injuries by ground ambulance, and one with serious injuries via an Air Life Georgia medical helicopter.
The chain-reaction crash occurred, according to the state patrol, when one vehicle pulled from Duncan Bridge Road into the path of another which was on Georgia 365.
