School officials in Forsyth County are assessing things after being notified last week of a cyber-attack that might be affecting the school system.
The AJC quotes a system spokesperson as saying Instructure, the company behind a learning management system that supports education and training, notified the system of the breach but officials were not told if or how the district may have been affected.
“Based on the information shared so far, it appears the incident may have involved some student ID numbers and limited directory information, such as student names, school names, or teacher names,” the AJC was told.
Friday, Georgia News Network reported school districts and colleges and universities across the state and the nation were dealing with the fallout from the breach.
