*The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners (BOC) Wednesday stipulated that any county contribution to the development of The Gathering, a sports and entertainment venue planned in the southern part of the county, come with a contingency. By a 4-1 vote, the board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the developers of The Gathering that requires that any county contribution be contingent on the securing of a National Hockey League (NHL) franchise to be based at the venue.
