A Forsyth County firefighter was injured fighting a house fire early Tuesday.
There were five people in the two-story structure at time. They were awakened by smoke detectors and escaped the fire unharmed.
One firefighter was injured and was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released. He suffered an ankle injury and was also complaining of chest pains.
The cause of the fire which occurred about 3:30 was not immediately known.
The house was located on Emerald Pointe Lane.
