*Forsyth County EMS Administrator Billy Bean and Captain Colin Halligan were recognized by county commissioners recently for a “life saved.” Bean and Halligan were representing the county fire department at a job fair on July 30 when an attendee suffered a heart attack. The immediately began life‑saving CPR and defibrillation., according to the commendation.
*Natalae La Douceur is the new Public Information Officer (PIO) for Hall County government, replacing Joy Licciardi who recently resigned to spend more time with her family. La Douceur is no complete stranger to the position, having held it temporarily earlier this year.
*Walmart plans to build a high-tech, next-generation fulfillment center in Carnesville, creating 1,000 new jobs and bringing $1.3 billion in investment to Franklin County, Gov. Kemp said today. It’s the second such announcement this month for our corner of the state. The other involves creation of 1,400 jobs in Jackson County.
