Traffic stop leads to drug trafficking, other charges

A The Villages, Fla., man is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond on drug and other charges following his arrest Wednesday by Flowery Branch Police during a traffic stop.

Asst. Police Chief Todd Templeton said Stephen Shiebler was driving a “cargo van” at the time and did not have a valid driver’s license and was “operating the vehicle while impaired.”

Templeton added that officers found a glass “smoking device” in the vehicle vehicle along with a bag containing  more than 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Shiebler was charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license, possession of drug-related objects, failure to maintain lane, possession of methamphetamine, and trafficking methamphetamine.
