Following notification of next of kin, investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office are now able to release the identities of those who died in a murder-suicide in Flowery Branch over the weekend.
Mallory Jane Whitaker, 50, of Gainesville, was the victim in the shooting. The gunman, Adrian Gabriele Alexander, 51, of Flowery Branch, killed himself after he shot and killed Ms. Whitaker. Ms. Whitaker and Mr. Alexander were the parents of the nine-year-old child who was in the residence at the time of the incident. The child was unharmed physically.
The case remains open as investigators work to determine the circumstances that led to the shootings.
