Remnants of Tropical Storm Bertha are likely to move into our area Wednesday meaning there’s a Level 2 (out of 5) chance for some flash flooding.
“Interplay between moisture streaming off of Tropical Storm Bertha and a stalling frontal boundary will support trailing showers and thunderstorms across the northern half of the forecast area,” according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Peachtree City Office, “leading to heightened chances for localized flash flooding.”
There’s 70%-90% chance of rain in the Gainesville area Wednesday night-Saturday night, the NWS forecast says.
