Fla. murder suspect may have ties to Habersham Co.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office in Florida is asking for the public’s help in locating a murder suspect believed to have ties to Habersham County.

Authorities say Isabelle Rose Johnson, 38, is wanted in connection with human remains discovered in a shallow grave on property off Sunset Lane in Freeport, Florida.

Johnson is white, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Investigators believe she may have recently cut and dyed her hair to disguise her identity. She is known to use multiple aliases, including Harley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, Jessica Elaine Thrush, Jessica Elaine Thrash, Jessica Dowdy, and possibly “Denise.”

Officials said Johnson has ties to Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida, as well as areas in Georgia and lower Alabama. She is believed to travel frequently and may manipulate individuals into providing transportation, money, or assistance by using sympathy narratives.

She is believed to have a floral tattoo on her left hand near her thumb and forefinger and another tattoo on her right ankle.

Anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Walton County Sheriff’s Office at 850-892-8111. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-8477.
