Fire Weather Watch posted; Another local SPLOST referendum?

*A Fire Weather Watch has been posted for Hall County and the rest of north and most of central Georgia until at least early Saturday evening, because of expected low humidities and strong, gusty winds. You check see it in its entirety here: WWA Summary by Location for 34.31N 83.83W with GAZ023/GAC139/GAZ023 emphasis Fire Weather Watch

*There’s talk of another local SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax), at least in Oakwood. The city council there will hold a work session Tuesday night at 6:00 and “Discuss SPLOST IX” is one of six items on the agenda with no further information. A city official, though, after being asked if it referred to an extension of an existing SPLOST or a new one did confirm to 97.5 Glory FM that it’s a new one. “It is for discussion of a potential new SPLOLST only,” she said.
