The cause of a fire that destroyed a Helen restaurant Wednesday night remained under investigation Thursday afternoon.
The fire at Cowboys and Angels Restaurant & Bar occurred about 8:30 and firefighters returning from another call quickly reported it and began trying to put it out.
“To our friends and family, thank you for being there and helping us navigate this tragedy!” the owners wrote on social media. “We love and appreciate y’all! We have a lot of unanswered questions and appreciate prayers and continued support!”
They vowed to start with the cleanup Thursday and the rebuilding will “be expedited accordingly.”
They also promised that all scheduled caterings will still be honored.
