Fentanyl ‘reach out for help’ video features Gville police chief

With overdose deaths in the news locally in recent weeks, United Way of Hall County and the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) have teamed up to produce an educational video in which Police Chief Jay Parrish shares “important facts about Fentanyl in our community.”

In a Facebook posting, United Way encourages the public to learn as much as possible about “this deadly drug and how to reach out for help if you or someone you know is struggling with addiction.”

It has become one of the leading causes of overdose deaths nationwide.
