Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies discovered a woman’s body in a country park Wednesday, and a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office says he death has been ruled a suicide.
“We responded to the decedent’s home after receiving a welfare check from a friend,” Stacie Miller said Friday. “No one was home. We got a description of the decedent’s car from her husband and found it on Flock Camera entering Sawnee Park.”
Miller added the car was found and the woman’s body was inside with a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
“She still had a faint pulse so deputies started life saving measures until Central EMS arrived and transported her to the hospital where she was eventually pronounced deceased.”
The woman was 47-years-old.
