Two men who were arrested during a traffic stop Friday by Flowery Branch Police each face 60 counts of 2nd Degree Forgery after they were reportedly found in possession of 60 counterfeit bills. They also face other criminal charges as well as traffic-related charges.
Asst. Police Chief Todd Templeton said Monday Carl Vaughn, the driver, and his passenger, Jonathan Queen, were stopped for “an equipment violation.” Templeton added that “During the encounter, both subjects provided false identification to the law enforcement officer.” In addition, he said, Vaughn did not have a valid driver’s license, they were also in possession of a small amount of marijuana, a pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine, and the bogus bills.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has charged Queen with Theft by Deception but details on that case were not available Monday.
