FBPD: Serial shoplifter arrested

A man wanted on shoplifting charges in Flowery Branch has been arrested in Cumming where he was allegedly committing a similar theft.

FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE NEWS RELEASE:

“On February 10…Flowery Branch Police received a theft report
from a retail store in the 5800 block of Spout Springs Road.

A store representative informed authorities that a known suspect, Terrance
Antonio Hicks, 51, of Buford, had stolen merchandise on two separate
occasions. On February 1, 2025, Hicks reportedly took goods valued at
nearly $900, and on February 6, 2025, he returned to the store and
took merchandise valued at more than $400.

Following the initial report, Flowery Branch Police investigators learned
that Hicks had been apprehended while committing a similar theft at
another retail store in the Cumming area.

(They) subsequently obtained arrest
warrants for Hicks, charging him with two counts of theft by shoplifting,
one felony and one misdemeanor (and) he was booked into the Hall County Jail Thursday.”

He was also wanted by Milton, Georgia, Police.
