Flowery Branch police arrested a Rockmart man on drug trafficking and other charges after they say a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and drug‑related items.
Officers stopped a vehicle Monday for a traffic offense. Police said a K‑9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, giving officers probable cause to search the vehicle. During the search, officers say fthey found methamphetamine, amphetamine pills, alprazolam pills, heroin, marijuana, scales with methamphetamine residue and a glass pipe containing residue.
The driver, identified as Donald Ray Taylor, 55, was taken into custody.
Taylor was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule IV drugs, possession of heroin, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession and use of drug‑related objects
He is being held without bond in the Hall County Jail.
