A final vote on a proposed pickle ball court may be taken Thursday night by the Flowery Branch City Council (FBCC) and first reading for a downtown micro-brewery is also on the agenda.
Plans for the pickle ball court which would be located at 4272 Thurmond Tanner Parkway,emerged two months ago. EARLIER STORY. POSTED DEC. 13: Flowery Branch may be getting a venue for one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. A hearing is planned by the city council in January for a Conditional Use Permit and the annexation and rezoning of property at 4272 Thurman Tanner Parkway. The applicant is for a Pickleball Recreational Facility, according to city documents. The hearing is scheduled for January 16.
The council Thursday night is also expected to hold a public hearing and first reading on a micro-brewery and restaurant that would be located at 5205 Railroad Avenue.
