It’s not exactly the end of a “False Fall” because fall is already here but forecasters say temperatures this weekend and next week will likely feel more like spring and summer in our area.
“Despite afternoon highs dropping down into the 70s (Thursday), a gradual warming trend is expected through the weekend,” according to the National Weather Service (NWS). “Highs next week are likely to return to the 80s areawide.” (More details in the accompanying graphic.)
And what about rain? Don’t hold your breath. The chance of any significant rainfall is virtually nil during the period.
