Falcons hold first practice session, but all is not well

The Atlanta Falcons’ starting quarterback competition is on hold.

Head Coach Kevin Stefanski said yesterday that Tua Tagovailoa sat out the opening practice of training camp because of a minor back issue. Michael Penix Jr. is still recovering from a knee injury.

Meanwhile, running back Bijan Robinson is staging a “hold-in” to start of training camp. Robinson was with the team for yesterday’s first practice but didn’t participate as his agents lobby for a contract extension.
