Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will implement daytime lane closures on I-85 northbound and southbound in Jackson County for final asphalt paving work for the project’s completion.
GDOT ADVISORY:
“Beginning Monday, September 16, for approximately four weeks, single lane closures will be permitted on I-85 between State Route (SR) 11/US 129 and US 441, mile marker 137 and MM 149.
Crews may implement lane closures on the following schedule, excluding weather and special events:
I-85 northbound between MM 137 and MM 149
- Mondays through Fridays, 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
I-85 southbound between MM 143 and MM 137
- Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Additional center- and right- or left-lane closures may occur at night to allow for paving of the middle lane in either direction.”
