Emmy-nominated TV series to film in Gville

Filming is planned for two days later this month in Gainesville for season two of an Emmy -nominated TV series, “Tulsa King,” which stars Sylvester Stallone (pictured).

The filming notice says the scenes “will include camera equipment, actors, and crew working in and around the property. As such, the Gainesville Police Department will be present throughout the duration to enforce our permits and public safety. As responsible and respectful members of the community, we will ensure that local access remains available and that inconveniences are kept at a minimum.”

The cameras are not expected to roll until April 15 but already some prep work is underway, according to this schedule:

*April 1 – April 14 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

North curb parking lane closure of Broad Street between E.E. Butler Parkway and Henry Ward Way

*April 15 – 7:00 a.m.-11:59 p.m.

West curb lane closure of Green Street between Brenau Avenue and Washington Street

Full closure of Henry Ward Way from Jesse Jewell Parkway to cul-de-sac

North curb parking lane closure of Broad Street between E. E. Butler Parkway and Henry Ward Way

*April 15 – 3:00 p.m.-11:59 p.m.

Full road closure with sidewalk on Bradford Street from Washington Street to Brenau Avenue

*April 16-April 18 – 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
