It’s Week 2 of early voting in Georgia for the May 19 primaries and the first week’s turnout in Hall County was 3,595 or 2.4% of the county’s 144,842 active voters registered with the county elections office. There were 2,682 Republican ballots cast, 887 Democratic and 26 non-partisan.
Of Hall and adjacent counties, Lumpkin led the way with a 5.9% turnout and Forsyth, the smallest, 1.5%. Here’s a look at how things went in the other counties:
Banks – 3.0%
Barrow – 2.4%
Dawson – 2.9%
Gwinnett – 2.3%
Habersham – 2.5%
Jackson – 2.4%
White – 3.6%
Statewide, the turnout was 2.9%.
Early voting continues through May 15.
