Several students were injured Monday afternoon when an SUV whose driver the state patrol says was DUI struck their Gainesville school bus at Wessell and Dixon drives.
The investigating trooper determined the SUV which was driven by Kelley Ingram, 39, of Gainesville, was traveling south on Wessell and failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the bus which was loaded with 28 students.
Six of them had complaints of injuries and were evaluated on scene but two students were taken to the hospital for the treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries. Ingram also went to the hospital after complaining of non-life-threatening injuries.
In addition to DUI, Ingram was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign.
