Drought conditions return to Hall, other Ga. counties

Drought conditions returned to Hall County and others in the immediate Gainesville area and the rest of north Georgia.

The U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM) also reports that the drought coverage area in Georgia decreased over the past week but by only one percent.

Drought conditions are most intense, “moderately dry,” along the Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina borders as well as south Georgia. Other areas are considered “abnormally dry,” the lowest degree of intensity on the USDM scale.
