Drought conditions in Georgia continued to improve this past week and as of Thursday they now cover only about 20 percent of the state and are mostly confined to northeast and northwest Georgia.
Hall County and the adjacent counties to the north and west are included but only the northern half of Hall is affected with the rest of the county now drought-free. In addition, all or parts of Banks, Jackson, Barrow and Gwinnett are listed as drought-free.
