Parts of two downtown Gainesville streets were closed Monday afternoon for almost an hour because of a suspicious package that was found in the area.
It all began about 2:00. Portions of Spring and Green were closed while authorities investigated.
Despite it proximity to where the package was found, employees at the county courthouse went about their business during the investigation. But, the courthouse parking deck’s Spring Street entrance was closed.
