Be prepared for extra foot traffic downtown for about six hours later this afternoon into the evening.
The city, in partnership with The Arts Council, is hosting the fourth annual Art Walk from 3:00-8:00, in and around downtown Gainesville.
“If traveling in the area, please be mindful of vendors setting up starting at 1 p.m. and increased foot traffic during the event, followed by vendors breaking down at 8 p.m.,” a notice from the city says. “Prepare for elevated activity at nearby parking decks, and look out for pedestrians entering and exiting these structures.
Additionally, during this event only, the Gainesville Trolley will transport attendees from the historic square to various destinations off site. Expect the trolley to stop at the stop sign in front of Kilwins on Spring Street to allow passengers to board and deboard.”
