HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“About 9:30 Saturday night, Hall County sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic incident at a residence in the 5600 block of Salle Avenue.

Deputies spoke with individuals who witnessed the female victim, 50, running out of the residence and calling for help. They also saw the suspect, David P. Graham, 51, of Oakwood, chase after the victim and grab and pull her back into the home. Graham, who had an outstanding probation warrant, and the victim knew one another prior to the incident.

Deputies established a perimeter around the residence and repeatedly attempted to contact the two from outside of the home. Deputies knocked on the door and walls and made phone calls to them. Deputies used a patrol vehicle public address (PA) system and loud voice commands, but no one would respond. Deputies also sounded horns and sirens in attempts to get the occupants to respond. While outside of the residence, deputies could hear footsteps and talking coming from inside the home and decided to obtain a search warrant.

After securing the search warrant, deputies went in through the front door of the residence and apprehended Graham without incident. They also located the victim.

According to the initial investigation, Graham made the victim stay in a bedroom after pulling her back into the residence. He stood between the victim and bedroom door, preventing her from leaving.

Deputies arrested Graham and charged him with kidnapping (felony), false imprisonment (felony) and simple battery (misdemeanor).”
