Domestic dispute leads to drug charges

What started as an investigation into a domestic incident in Flowery Branch recently ending up leading to drug charges against one of the parties.

FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE DEPT. NEWS RELEASE:

“On 04/24/2024 Flowery Branch Police Officers responded to an apartment within the Tree Park Apartment Complex regarding a domestic dispute in progress.

Responding Officers received word that one party involved in the dispute had been sprayed with mace and that another party involved in the dispute had a firearm.

Upon arrival at the location, Patrol Officers spoke with several of the involved subjects and concluded that Virginia Felton, 42, was involved in a physical dispute with her boyfriend. Virgina Felton’s adult daughter, Sabrina, 27, was also present and become involved in the dispute. Upon interviewing the involved parties, the responding Officers received conflicting accounts of what transpired prior to their arrival.

The Officers determined additional investigation was warranted rather than taking immediate enforcement action. The disputing parties were separated, and the matter was referred to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation. 

During a follow up investigation, numerous individuals were interviewed, and a search warrant was executed at the incident location. Upon executing the search warrant, Officers recovered a quantity of THC Wax in multiple containers, a small quantity of marijuana, and various packaging materials. 

As a result of the initial report and follow up investigation, on 04/29/2024 Sabrina Felton was charged with pointing a pistol at another, reckless conduct, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule 1 drug, possession of a schedule 1 drug with intent to distribute, and possession of drug related objects.”

Felton remained in the Hall County Jail without bond as late as mid-morning Wednesday.
