Hall County Control Officers recently rescued a dog from Lake Lanier that had reportedly been stranded in the same area for about three weeks.
“Thanks to the dedication of our officers and the generosity of a local citizen who allowed our team to use his boat, we were able to safely reach the dog and bring him to safety,” a posting on animal control’s Facebook page says.
The dog was described as a Cane Corso.
No other information about the rescue or the dog was immediately available. The posting did note that all stray animals are held for 72 business hours to provide an opportunity for their owners to reclaim them. “We cannot release additional information about an animal until it becomes available for adoption.”
