*Delta Airlines is offering travel waivers for those flying in and out of New Orleans. The Atlanta-based airline is allowing passengers to change flight schedules for anything booked between Wednesday and Friday. There were travelers expected to be flying back from New Orleans to Atlanta after the Sugar Bowl. But, that game between Georgia and Notre Dame was scheduled for Wednesday night but was pushed back one day because of Tuesday night’s French Quarter incident.
*A south Georgia boy is being treated for serious burn injuries from an alleged prank. The 12-year-old’s mother told WALB this week that three boys poured hot water on his face during a sleepover in Tifton. Now, the boy is at home after undergoing surgery for second-degree facial burns at the Augusta burn center. The trio considered to be responsible will appear at a court hearing in several weeks.
