Dawson is the fastest-growing county in Georgia, growing 36% over the last 6 years, Fox 5 Atlanta reported Wednesday.
Dawson County is experiencing rapid growth, mostly due to a thriving tech corridor and affordable housing options, realtor Jayde Roper says.
Fox5Atlanta also reports that as Alpharetta emerges as a major job center with numerous tech companies, residents are moving to surrounding counties, like Dawson, and local business owners are benefiting from the influx of commuters who work in Alpharetta, boosting the local economy.
Neighboring Lumpkin County, meanwhile, experienced a near nine percent population increase between 2020 and this year.
