*The trial for accused Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray is scheduled to begin Oct. 13 in Columbia County, a Barrow County Superior Court Judge ruled Wednesday. The proceedings are being moved to that east Georgia county, near Augusta, because a change of venue was requested because of the enormous amount of pre-trial publicity in Barrow County.
*Flowery Branch City Councilman Will McDaniel, who joined the council four years ago, has resigned. Glory 97.5 has confirmed that he stepped down because of plans to move out of the city.
