Cumming teen recognized by NY Times; Gville mayor, councilwoman in the GMA spotlight

The piece also spotlights runners-up and honorable mentions from around the world on a wide range of topics.

*Gainesville Mayor Zack Thompson and councilwoman Juli Hayes are the latest graduates of the Robert E. Knox Jr. Municipal Leadership Institute. Offered through the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA), it is an “intensive,” multi-day seminar designed to help city officials strengthen their leadership skills, equipping them with “practical tools” for “effective” governance.
