Cumming site of one of scores of President’s Day demonstrations around country

Scores of demonstrations occurred around the county Monday, President’s Day, as opponents of President Trump took to the streets in protest of many of his policies, less than a month into his second term. Cumming and Atlanta were two of the places where protests occurred.

In Cumming, about 100 people rallied downtown – some carrying signs that read “Stop the GOP Nazis,” “Traitor” (a sign aimed at Elon Musk), “Boo the Billionaires,” and “Defend Democracy,” among others.

The march was organized by Anita Tucker who also organized a protest in Cumming January 18, two days before Trump took office.
