Cumming lawmaker jumps into Fani Willis fray

A state senator from Cumming wants the legislature to investigate Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

SRN News reports that state Sen. Greg Dolezal of Cumming on Monday proposed a special Senate committee to investigate Willis, who’s embroiled over controversy surrounding her personal relationship with a colleague involved in the Donald Trump election fraud case.

Dolezal says a “thorough and impartial examination” would “ensure transparency, accountability and the preservation of the integrity of our justice system.”

Dolezal’s proposed resolution suggests legal or budget changes could follow any inquiry.
