A cross has been placed in the Sam’s Club parking lot in Oakwood in memory of a young girl whose body was found last fall in the trunk of a car that was parked there.
Autumn Fox was four years old and the vehicle’s owner, Jessica Motes of Oakwood, is awaiting trial on a number of charges including murder, related to the case.
In the days following the discovery, crosses, flowers, and candles were left near where the car was parked. The cross that is there now is at one edge of the parking lot.
