“Zero tolerance, with lots of arrests and tow trucks. That’s what Union County Sheriff Shawn Dyer is promising for hot rodders and racers on Blood Mountain going forward,” according to a report by Jeff Batten of WJRB 95.1/WJUL 97.7 in Young Harris.
“We’re going to stop the racing and reckless driving on Blood Mountain and in the Suches area,” Dyer says in an interview with Batten. “If they’re driving recklessly, we’re going to tow their car and we’re going to put them in jail.”
He made his comments as some of his deputies were arresting a motorcyclist who had led them on a 90 mph chase on the curvy mountain road.
