Cobb residents 1, Walmart 0; School threats; Sapelo Island suit

*Cobb County is saying no to drone deliveries from an East Cobb Walmart location. The board of commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday night to deny a rezoning application from the company, which would’ve allowed an 18-station drone delivery area in the store’s parking lot. More than 50 people spoke against the idea.  

*A middle schooler is accused of causing an emergency at four Oconee County schools on Tuesday. The Dove Creek Middle School student is charged with making terroristic threats. One of the schools targeted was North Oconee High School, which was also a target of a threat earlier this month.  
 
*An insurance company is suing the firm that designed a gangway that collapsed on Sapelo Island two years ago. WSB-TV reports the insurers claim the policy for the architecture firm Stevens and Wilkinson doesn’t cover claims over the gangway collapse due to professional failure. This kind of lawsuit is a common occurrence, legal experts say.
