There may be no House member as strong a proponent of the 2nd Amendment that the 9th District’s Andrew Clyde.
And the Jackson County Republican, whose district includes part of Hall County, this week led 30 of his House Republican colleagues in sending a letter to President Trump calling for the next Attorney General to execute key Second Amendment priorities.
The lawmakers outlined a roadmap consisting of three critical Second Amendment priorities:
1. Immediately Cease Enforcement of Biden-Era Gun Rules and Secure Permanent — Not Temporary — Relief
2. Stop Defending Unconstitutional Gun Laws in Court
3. Rein in the ATF and Reform its Culture
Clyde also took to X to push the idea. “Americans deserve an Attorney General who is committed to protecting and restoring our Second Amendment rights. That’s why I’m urging President Trump to pick a strong pro-2A AG—as well as providing a roadmap for their success.”
