Clyde: Joe Biden has blood on his hands

A number of prominent Georgia Republicans, including Gov. Brian Kemp and 9th District Cong. Andrew Clyde, are pointing fingers at President Biden in their reaction to the murder of a University of Georgia student allegedly by an undocumented immigrant.

“Laken Riley…was murdered by an illegal alien,” Clyde declared on X, formerly of Twitter. “The Venezuelan migrant, Josephy Antonio Ibarra, illegally crossed the border and was released on parole in September 2022. Joe Biden has blood on his hands.”

Gov. Kemp, meanwhile, released a four-page letter to President Biden Saturday, demanding a response to questions “surrounding the immigration status of the arrested suspect in the murder of Laken Riley and asylum claims of the suspect’s brother.” This direct request follows a previous call for information made by Governor Kemp and 24 other governors for data and information on illegal border crossings, relocation efforts, and how asylum claims were being processed, according to a news release from Kemp’s office.

“Laken Riley’s tragic death struck the hearts of Georgians everywhere and has rightfully sparked national outrage,” the letter said. “As I have said many times before: every state is now a border state because of Joe Biden’s inaction, and today I am again demanding answers and information from the Biden Administration that will help us protect our citizens when the federal government will not.”

A copy of the letter was also sent to members of the state’s congressional delegation.
