Chattahoochee Golf Club closing indefinitely

To prepare for wintry conditions forecast for the Gainesville area, greens at Chattahoochee Golf Club (CGC) will be covered Sunday and the golf course will be unavailable for play until further notice.

The greens could remain covered for up to eight days or more depending on the forecast, though the driving range will remain open during this time.

The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts rain at the beginning of the week, followed by consistent below-freezing temperatures in the low 20s. Highs will only reach the low- to mid-40s, the NWS states.

The Chattahoochee Grill will be open for lunch and dinner during this time.

The golf club was closed in early December because of a forecast cold snap.
