FROM THE GA. DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION:
“WHAT: Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) and contractor CMES will be shifting traffic onto a new road on SR211 westbound from I 85. The road will begin past I 85 up to the Bank of Ozark. Traffic will be shifted onto the new entrance and exit ramps from I 85 to enable construction to begin on the roundabouts.
In addition, the Baymont Hotel will have a new access road. The temporary road leads guests to the rear of the hotel to park rather than the front of the hotel. The road will asist in detouring traffic exiting from the Chateau Elan Tour De France entrance.
WHEN: The traffic shift is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15, 2023 weather permitting
WHERE: The change in traffic pattern will impact traffic on SR 211 by Chateau Elan and nearby (businesses).
Delays are anticipated. Consider alternate routes.”
