*Heather Ross, assistant dean of the Ivester College of Health Sciences at Brenau University and program director and department chair of Physical Therapy (DPT), has been elected president of the American Council of Physical Therapy Education (ACAPT). Ross has been a member of the Brenau DPT faculty since 2015, served as program director and chair since 2018, and was appointed as assistant dean of the Ivester College of Health Sciences in 2022.
*Former mayor Edward Asbridge and Charles Thompson were the first-day qualifiers Monday for a special Flowery Branch City Council election to be held Nov. 3. The election is being held because of the recent resignation of the Post 3 incumbent. Qualifying continues through Wednesday.
